São Paulo Fashion Week is South America's most significant fashion event — a concentrated period of shows, presentations, parties and business meetings that draws international buyers, editors, creative directors and brand executives to the city twice a year. For those who attend seriously, the logistics of SPFW are as demanding as any industry event in Milan or Paris.

The SPFW schedule is notoriously compressed. Shows begin early in the morning and run through to late evening. The venues shift between Bienal do Ibirapuera, Arca, and a rotation of private spaces across Jardins and Itaim. Between shows, there are buyers' appointments, press interviews, and dinner commitments at Dentro, Maní, or the private rooms of Fasano. Getting from one obligation to the next, on time, without spectacle, in São Paulo's traffic, is not a small achievement.
